Cephalotus follicularis, also called the Australian pitcher plant or Albany pitcher plant, is perhaps the most desired carnivorous plant. It grows in compact rosettes of extremely complex, hearty pitchers that develop deep red coloration in heavy sunlight. They are very slow-growing, and are more difficult to successfully grow than most other carnivores. However, for an experienced grower, this is an extremely rewarding plant.
